This is a joint grassroots initiative by Polaris Network and Group Project Initiatives to minimize harm now through SmartVoting.ca and build long-term community power through The Social Good Collective.

Why We’re Doing This & How You Can Join

We all know how frustrating election content can be right now. Engagement is lower, people feel disillusioned, and the algorithm isn’t helping. But we also know that when we don’t show up, Ford and his people win—not because they’re the majority, but because progressives are divided.

So instead of everyone trying to fight the algorithm alone, we’re coming together to ensure voters get the right information when they need it, from trusted voices like yours.

    Ahead of the election, co-posting with @AmplifySocialGood keeps election content centralized, so voters can find it without getting lost in the algorithm. The goal is to drive people to SmartVoting.ca to make informed, strategic choices that stop conservatives from winning through vote splitting.

    We know strategic voting isn’t the dream. It’s a shitty short-term fix to a broken system. But if we don’t vote with strategy now, conservatives keep taking power with a minority of the vote. We’re making sure people understand the stakes and have a plan.

    Voting is just Step One. That’s why we’re pushing people to The Social Good Collective—a virtual community center where they can actually stay engaged, build power, and push for real change beyond the ballot box.
